Wilkinson County Schools is pleased to welcome Mrs. Felicia Batts as the new Assistant Principal of Wilkinson County Elementary School.
Mrs. Batts comes to us with more than 15 years of experience in education and a passion for serving students who need support the most. Her career has taken her from the classroom to district leadership roles — including Special Education Teacher, Academic Coach, and Special Education Coordinator — and now to WCES, where she’s ready to make an impact.
Originally from Dublin, Georgia, Mrs. Batts lives there with her husband, Willie, and their three children: Tre, Matthew, and Winter Grace. Her decision to pursue education was inspired by her background in social services and her husband’s example — both of which helped shape her belief that every child deserves someone in their corner.
At WCES, she’s excited to empower teachers, nurture student growth, and help build a school culture where every learner feels supported and seen. She describes herself as compassionate, driven, and collaborative — and brings that spirit to everything she does, both in and out of school.
From traveling and DIY projects to quality time with her family, she stays grounded in the joy of learning and connection. One of her favorite quotes says it best:
“Teach like lives depend on it.”
We’re proud to have Mrs. Batts join our mission to Expand, Empower, and Excel at Wilkinson County Elementary School.
