Spring CTAE Advisory counsel

Wilkinson County Schools recently held its Spring CTAE (Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education) Advisory Committee meeting at the Board of Education. The gathering brought together CTAE instructors, district leaders, business partners, and community stakeholders to collaborate on advancing career pathway programs and preparing students for the workforce.

Program instructors provided updates on student progress, certifications, and recent accomplishments across pathways including healthcare, agriculture, business, and JROTC. In addition to staff and community input, students also participated in the meeting, sharing their experiences in CTAE classes and offering perspectives on how the programs are shaping their goals for the future.

The committee reviewed current offerings and explored ways to expand access to industry certifications, internships, and work-based learning. Attendees also discussed alignment with local and regional workforce needs and offered feedback to help inform program development for the upcoming school year.

The advisory committee continues to play a vital role in supporting the district’s mission to equip students with the skills and experiences needed for college, careers, and life beyond the classroom.
