New for the 2025–2026 school year, Wilkinson County Schools will implement Asynchronous Learning Days. These days are designed to provide teachers and staff with dedicated time for professional development while ensuring that students continue their learning from home.

On an Asynchronous Learning Day, students do not report to school in person. Instead, they will be given assignments, activities, or projects to complete independently. Teachers will share instructions and due dates in advance, and students are expected to complete their tasks just as they would on a regular school day.

Asynchronous Learning Days will not always fall on the same day of the week and are scheduled throughout the year as needed. Families will be notified well in advance through the district calendar, school communications, and the district app.
