Wilkinson County School District is excited to announce two bid opportunities as part of a grant-funded initiative to establish a district-wide School-Based Health Center (SBHC) located on the Wilkinson County Elementary School campus. This initiative aims to enhance student well-being by providing essential healthcare services on campus.
Facility Bid Opportunity
The district seeks proposals for the design, delivery, and installation of a modular medical unit located at Wilkinson County Elementary School (12516 GA-57, Irwinton, GA 31042). The 2,000 sq. ft. facility will serve students, staff, and families, meeting all medical, safety, and accessibility requirements. The project scope includes:
Structural layout and design to meet healthcare standards
HVAC, electrical, and plumbing installation
Compliance with local building codes and health regulations
Delivery and installation on-site
Medical Sponsorship Bid Opportunity
Wilkinson County Schools is also seeking a medical sponsor to support the operation of the School-Based Health Center. The sponsor will play a key role in providing healthcare services, staffing, and administrative support. Responsibilities include:
Employing and supervising SBHC staff
Providing health IT infrastructure
Conducting outreach and billing insurers
Offering primary care, mental health support, vaccinations, and wellness programs
Sealed bids for both opportunities will be accepted until March 27, 2025.
