Wilkinson County Schools are excited to announce Red Ribbon Week, taking place from October 28 to November 1, with the theme "Life is a Movie—Film Drug Free!" This week is packed with fun, themed activities aimed at promoting healthy, drug-free lifestyles among students.

Here’s the lineup for Red Ribbon Week:

  • Marvel Monday (October 28): Students will show their superhero spirit by wearing their favorite superhero t-shirts, symbolizing their power to say "no" to drugs.

  • Give Drugs the Boot Tuesday (October 29): Students will dress up as cowboys and cowgirls, kicking drugs out of their lives and riding into a healthier, drug-free future.

  • Peace Out to Drugs Wednesday (October 30): It's time for tie-dye and groovy vibes as students spread peace and say goodbye to drugs with colorful, retro styles.

  • We Are Red-y to Say No to Drugs Thursday (October 31): Students will wear red to stand united against drugs, symbolizing their commitment to making the school and community a safer place.

  • Team Up Against Drugs Friday (November 1): Students will wear their favorite team jerseys and sports gear, showing that, just like the best teams, they support each other in staying strong, focused, and drug-free.

The district encourages all students and staff to participate in these fun and meaningful events as they work together to promote a drug-free community. Red Ribbon Week is an opportunity to spark important conversations about making healthy choices and the long-term benefits of living drug-free. Parents and community members are also invited to join in by supporting their students and discussing the importance of this campaign at home.

Stay tuned for photos and updates from the week as we celebrate unity, strength, and the commitment to staying drug-free!
