Tomorrow marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, and Wilkinson County High School is ready to celebrate! Hispanic Heritage Month, observed nationwide from September 15 through October 15, is a time to recognize the culture, history, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans.
To kick off the celebration, WCHS will host themed dress-up days this week, September 15–19. Students and staff are encouraged to participate and show their Warrior Pride while learning more about Hispanic traditions.
The celebration is led by Spanish teacher Ms. Carla Ingram, who has planned activities that highlight the importance of heritage and culture. In addition to Spirit Week, Ms. Nelson will incorporate Hispanic heritage into classroom and schoolwide activities throughout the month.
We invite everyone to join in and make this a memorable celebration! Check out the flyer for details on each day’s theme.
