This summer, Wilkinson County’s middle school, junior varsity, and varsity basketball teams took full advantage of high-level competition and learning opportunities across Georgia.
The program traveled to a number of competitive venues, including college showcase events and university-hosted camps. Players participated in:
June Jam, a prominent college showcase event
Georgia College & State University (two separate sessions)
Mercer University
Fellowship of Christian Athletes camp at Georgia Southern University
GBCA (Georgia Basketball Coaches Association) showcase
These events provided valuable game experience, exposure to college recruiters, and a chance to sharpen skills ahead of the upcoming school year. Beyond the competition, the summer circuit helped build team chemistry and allowed younger athletes to compete alongside veteran players, reinforcing the “One Program” approach across all levels.
This growth wouldn’t have been possible without community support. The Wilkinson County Basketball Program extends its sincere appreciation to the following sponsors:
Wilkinson County Tip-Off Club
Wilkinson County Sheriff’s Office
Butler Ford of Milledgeville
Hyundai of Milledgeville
Wilkinson County Family Connection
Kinetic Windstream
V Sweets by Valencia Holt
Raffield Tire (Macon & Warner Robins)

Thanks to their generous contributions, Warrior student-athletes experienced a summer of growth, mentorship, and motivation to carry into the 2025 season.
