Last week, we hosted our annual CTAE Advisory Committee Meeting. The primary purpose of the committee is to promote greater cooperation between the educational environments and the private sector in preparing students for employment, promoting a quality CTAE education, and ensuring that the skills and technology being taught in the classroom are responsive to the needs of the labor market.
Students in CTAE have opportunities to join a career and technical student organization (CTSO). Some of our HOSA, TSA, JROTC, FBLA, and FFCLA students were in attendance to share their insights into how CTAE has benefited them and the opportunities they've been exposed to as a part of their respective organizations.
Special thanks to representatives of local businesses, Georgia Military College, Middle GA Regional Consortium, and Kid Shines Inc for joining us and allowing our students to showcase what they're learning within our CTAE programs.
If your or someone you know would be interested in partnering with our district to provide resources or become a Work-Based Learning site, please contact CTAE Director Dr. Virginia Rozier at 478.946.5521 or via email at virginia.rozier@wilkinson.k12.ga.us.
