WCHS Students Honored at Augusta University
Wilkinson County High
Posted On: Wednesday, March 06, 2019

Each year during Black History Month, Augusta University holds the African American Scholar Recognition Program to recognize high school students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement. High schools around the state are invited to nominate the top senior and the top two junior African American students in their school to receive this recognition.

This year, WCHS is pleased to announce that senior Howard Davis and juniors Akiyah Chatman and Jaliyah Chatman were nominated for this award. This nomination was based on their superior academic achievement and class rank. The awards program was held on February 28 and each student received an Augusta University Certificate of Academic Achievement.

Congratulations to all three of these outstanding students!
